I created blinking eyes and added them to a ball in cinema 4D I made the ball move around and turn around , than I used the camera tool to create dynamic shots which was a fun experience. I did this as a retry of my last attempt in cinema 4D as well as learn how to combine 2D and 3D animation together and while I still have lots to learn, I feel like this a stepping stone to something very interesting to do and a possibility for some horror animation.

I did cinema 4D work using illustrator We also got images online, blacked them out and placed them in the progam to make a 3D outline I tried to create a bush in cinema 4D by creating it on illustroator and than expoerting it to the progra, , but I kept on getting facing technoical difficults as well as a bit of confusing on how it works I made a shape on illustrator and than placed it into 4D to make a funky tree and copied and pasted it to create forest along with landscapes shapes (using crystal material) and flat circles, I than played with the camera angle to experiment how it works. I do want to get a better grasp on it so that I can better use 3D software to it's full potential and that it could better benefit my own work , as well as to help add more visual depth to my pieces. I would like to get better at it as well cause if I could learn to use cinema 4D more effectfully , I could have more potential as an artist to grow and expand on my skills and ideas.

Went to the Balatic today Mick Peter ''To me , to you'' I found his work to be very unquie in it's simplistic design yet very in depth approach by he (literally) brought his piece into life. The difference of the characters and enviements being drawn like simple cartoons and the main object being more realestically painted also stood out to me on how they stood out , peeping through holes and stuff was also intereing as it was a viewing expericance of art that's very outside of the box. Ifeoma U.Anyaeji ''Ezuhu Ezu'' (Incomplete) There was a lot of yarn art which I thought was interesting , the texture made me REALLY want to touch it despite the signs telling me not too , so I just looked at them as the urge to rub my hands all over their multiply textured surfaces consumed me. John Akomfrah ''Why History Matters'' There was a film with three different screens showing off sometimes different scenes , though most inter...

So today we took some film frames and placed them into photo shop to draw over each frame, this was done in order to gain a better understanding of how traditional animators used reference in order to get clearer and more fluid movement in their animation (Such as Disney's 2D animated film Sleeping Beauty) I first take some film footage and drew points of where the dancer's joints are at, I placed rulers at the edges to keep track of where the center of the frame is at. Than I drew lines of movement of the arms , legs and spine, this allows me to keep track of where each body part is at and can be used to create more dynamic 2D animation or as a reference for 3D movement. I than added some blinking void eyes to the windows, which was me experimenting with blinking animation though I don't think it feels natural and goes by too fast, losing the effect I wanted it to have. And a rainbow puddle by using gradient , though it turned out ugly and is unpleasant to look at ...

I have returned to continue my University work at Newcastle College after the summer. I hope this year to be more organised with my workflows and time keeping as I feel like my chaotic way of keeping track of things has kept me from fully releasing my potential within a given project and that I could create more unique and experimental works if I put my head straight. Goals for this year: To have a better management over my time keeping and scheduling To put myself out there more and gain more independence To gain a deeper understanding of animation ,it's history and it's current state in the industry Over the summer I have attempted to start a comic , though I have decided to try using my concepts for it into one of my units. The comic is about a teenage girl becoming a superhero after waking up as a vampire and fighting supernatural forces while trying to keep up with high school. How I will do it: I will write out a schedule for when I should begin a task and ...
